Originating 1,000's of years ago, Ayurveda means 'The Science of Life' and has been called The
Mother of All Healing Arts. A vast system of knowledge, one of its greatest strengths is a profoundly effective system that gears all routines and recommendations to each individual's unique personal needs.
Used by elite athletes to maximize performance and armchair athletes to maximize health, this multi-media workshop focuses on the day-to-day application of
Ayurveda - diet, routines, treatments - each recommendation geared to the
specific genetic constitution of the individual. (Ayurveda, for example, would
never say that 'everyone needs 8 glasses of water a day' or 'no one should
ever eat meat'. Indeed, in some cases it might determine that 8 glasses of
water could be harmful to an individual's current state of health, or that
eating flesh foods is exactly what another individual needed at that
time.)
